Services will be Monday for Belmeda T. Simas, 85, a Tracy native and lifelong local resident, who died Monday at Sutter Tracy Community Hospital.

Ms. Simas, a parishioner of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, was born July 9, 1928. She was a member of IPFES and Luso-American Society of Tracy.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, John and Maria Simas; and six siblings, John Simas, Emily Morris, Evelyn Enos, Frank Simas and twins Rita Rose and Mary Rebeiro.

Monday’s funeral services will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave. Burial will follow in Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road. Visitation will be observed from 9:30 to 11:30 that morning in the chapel.

Contributions in Ms. Simas’ name may be sent to the St. Bernard’s Catholic Church Building Fund, 163 W. Eaton Ave., Tracy, CA 95376.
