Blair Hurlock of Tracy is the East Bay Athletic League champion in both the 1,600-meter run and the 3,200 meters, and his De La Salle High School track and field team placed second at the EBAL championship meet Saturday , May 17, at Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton.

Hurlock’s time in the 1,600 (4 minutes, 10 seconds) is a new EBAL record. That time, and his time in the 3,200 (9:13), qualified him to compete in the North Coast Section meet this Saturday at Granada High School in Livermore.

Hurlock is a senior at De La Salle and was recently named that school’s athlete of the year for his accomplishments in track and field and cross-country.
