West High’s boys tennis team won its Tri-City Athletic League title Tuesday with a 6-3 win at home against Edison High of Stockton.

The Wolf Pack finished the TCAL season at 9-1, matching Tokay High of Lodi in wins and losses. West is the No. 1 seed in the TCAL based on the scores in its league matches with Tokay. West beat Tokay 6-3 on March 27 and Tokay beat West 5-4 on April 15.

The No. 1 seed means West will get a bye for the first round of the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I playoffs, which begin Monday . West hosts the second round on Tuesday against a team from either the Delta River League or the Monticello Empire League.

Kimball High is also headed to the SJS Division II playoffs after the team finished the Valley Oak League season at 13-1, concluding April 17 with an 8-1 win at Lathrop High.

Manteca High also finished 13-1 in the VOL and has the No. 1 seed from the VOL based on its 6-3 win against Kimball on April 7. Kimball beat Manteca 5-4 on March 25.

Kimball has a bye for the first round and will host a team to be announced from the Metropolitan Conference on Tuesday.
