West coach Steve Anastasio said his team didn’t have any hits until the fifth inning, when Stephanie Dyer took an infield single on a bunt and rounded the bases on a throwing error to reach third. Katie Wentz followed up with another bunt, and Dyer came home when Edison went for the out at first base.
The Vikings had only two base hits for the day but made one of them count, as the tying run came home in the seventh.
West had five hits for the day, but it was the ones in the top of the eighth that made the difference. Elida Rubio doubled to right field with one out and reached third on a misplayed ball. Allison Noble hit an infield single, and Edison’s pitcher walked Jamie Costa to load the bases.
With two out, Ashley Cox drew a walk to bring in a run, and Tracy Wentz reached on an infield error to bring in one more. Dyer got another base hit to bring in West’s fourth run.
West’s pitchers were Andi Anderson, who pitched the first four innings, and Brittaney Enterline, who finished the game.
West plays its final two games of the season at home, first Wednesday against McNair and then Friday against Tokay.

West pitcher Miranda Gannon (8-0) took another win Monday in a two-hit performance.
West had 10 hits, including Aimee Green’s solo home run in the third inning, and sustained a six-run rally in the fourth. Edison’s pitcher walked Julia Ramirez three times, only to see Ramirez score each time, collecting four stolen bases on the way. Gannon had three base hits, including a triple, and four RBIs.
