She was chosen from among six entrants in the annual program held Saturday evening in the Kimball High School auditorium.
The winner, daughter of Scott and Nanette Speaker of Tracy, received a college scholarship from the sponsoring Kiwanis Club of Tracy. She also received scholarships for scholastic achievement and fitness.
She performed a jazz dance as her talent performance.
First alternate in Saturday evening’s program was Jacquelene Pham, a Kimball High School junior. She also received scholarships for talent and self-expression.
The “Spirit of Distinguished Young Women” scholarship winner was Jennifer Diaz, a Tracy High School junior.
Patty Knapp and Tammy Thompson were co-chairwomen of the Distinguished Young Women program, formerly known as Junior Miss.
