Luke, an all-black Maine coon mix, is 8 months old and quick to purr. His coat is medium to long. Luke is playful and sweet-tempered and warms up quickly. Littermate Lorelei, who is more cautious with new people, is also available for adoption. Kitten season is starting, and Animal Rescue of Tracy is requesting donations of powdered kitten formula, kitten feeding bottles and Royal Canin Babycat dry and canned food. The all-volunteer nonprofit is also accepting items for its April 5 yard sale. Adoption fairs for dogs and cats take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Macy’s wing of the West Valley Mall, 3200 Naglee Road. For information: 642-4324 or www.animalrescuetracy.org.

Maxine, a 1-year-old female tabby, needs a home. Tracy Animal Shelter, 370 Arbor Road, is open from noon to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. For information: 831-6364 or “City of Tracy Animal Services” on Facebook.
