Sydney, a 2-month-old large mixed breed puppy, is affectionate and loves to play with people and other dogs. She is looking for a home with a family that’s serious about obedience training; Sydney learned the “sit” command within minutes, and East of Eden rescue volunteers expect her to keep learning quickly. She and Jay-Jay, another puppy from the same litter, are ready to be adopted and can be seen during a multi-organization animal adoption event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the West Valley Mall, 3200 Naglee Road. A video of Sydney can be viewed online at For more information, contact Sheri Savage at or 925-980-3035 or visit
