MANTECA — A hearing for a Tracy man accused of shooting at three people at West Valley Mall in December was postponed Tuesday to give the prosecutors time make copies of evidence for the defense team, including photos and surveillance video.
Lorenzo Hotel, 18, pleaded not guilty Feb. 28 to three counts of premeditated attempted murder and one count of shooting at an inhabited dwelling. He remains in San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp without the possibility of bail.
Judge Ron Northup scheduled the next hearing at 1:30 p.m. April 10 in the Manteca branch of San Joaquin County Superior Court.
Lockwood arraignment continued
MANTECA — In an unrelated case Tuesday, Giller was granted a continuance of a hearing against his new client, 18-year-old Brandon Lockwood of Tracy, who is accused of shooting at a man and a woman in a car Feb. 12.
Lockwood, who remains without bail in county jail, is charged with premeditated attempted murder, assault with a semiautomatic firearm and shooting at an inhabited vehicle, with enhancements involving personal use of a firearm and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
Judge Northup rescheduled Lockwood's hearing at 1:30 p.m. April 10, in part because the case’s special prosecutor, Donald Vaughn, was unavailable Tuesday.
