Tracy police sent two teenage boys to juvenile hall Tuesday for burglary after the teens were found leaving a house on the 200 block of Pereira Avenue with stolen property.

According to a news release issued Wednesday by Tracy Police Department, local officers had been conducting a surveillance operation on Pereira Avenue, trying to identify people who might have been responsible for several home burglaries.

The officers reported seeing the two boys, ages 13 and 15, leave a house on the block carrying a suitcase.

They chased and captured the boys and determined that they had just burglarized the house. According to the news release, the officers recovered everything that had been stolen.

Both boys are Tracy residents. They were booked into juvenile hall in French Camp on several charges, including burglary and conspiracy, according to the release.
