Elizabeth Duran married John Michael Arellano on Dec. 14, 2013, at Lake Tahoe. The Rev. Robert McIntyre officiated.

The Arellanos will make their home together in Tracy.

Both were raised in Tracy and attended local schools, meeting at Tracy High School. Elizabeth graduated from Tracy High in 1991, and John graduated from Duncan-Russell the same year.

The bride, a teacher in Tracy Unified School District since 2001, then attended San Jose State University and California State University, Stanislaus, earning a bachelor’s degree and teaching credential. She worked at Sutter Tracy Community Hospital throughout college. Elizabeth is the daughter of Maria Duran of Manteca and Merced Duran Sr. of Long Beach. She is sister to Lisa Duran and Trish Duran, both of Manteca, Gina Duran of Berkeley and Merced Duran, and his wife, Joline, of Modesto.

The groom is employed by Conco Co. in Concord. He is the son of Janice Arellano of Manteca and Thomas Arellano of Wasco. His brother, Robert Arellano, lives in Tracy.

The wedding party included maid of honor Gina Duran; best man Robert Arellano; bridesmaids Lisa, Trish and Joline Duran; groomsmen Michael Arellano of Tracy, Merced Duran, Braulio Leoz of Tracy and Jose Barron of Stockton; and flower girls Gracie and Gianna Arellano, both of Tracy.

The newlyweds hope to plan a honeymoon in Hawaii this summer.
