Artha Joyce ‘Debbie’ Pruitt

Services have been conducted for Artha Joyce “Debbie” Pruitt, 77, a longtime Tracy resident, who died Jan. 6 at her home.

Mrs. Pruitt was born Nov. 27, 1936, on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation in Oregon and had lived in Tracy 44 years. She had worked as a sales clerk.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Pruitt of Tracy; two sons, Bill Pruitt Jr. of Tracy and Steven Pruitt of Stockton; a daughter, Lisa G. Pruitt of Tracy; a sister, Georgia Heitmann of Phoenix; a brother, Henry Kangas of Omaha, Neb.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, John Spencer and Edith L. Wiesel; and a daughter, Joy Lee Pruitt.
