Mr. Rodriguez was born March 5, 1937, in Del Rio, Texas, and served in the National Guard and Army Reserve. He worked 18 years as an assembler for General Motors and 16 years as a fabricator for NASA before retiring at age 62. He had several part-time jobs and started permanent part-time work at Save Mart in 2005.
He had lived in Tracy eight years.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Sally Rodriguez of Tracy; two daughters, Yolanda Lopez, and her husband, Ralph of Sacramento and Mona Liggett, and her husband, Tim, of Tracy; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Also surviving are 11 siblings, Leticia Zamora, and her husband, Abel, Gilbert Rodriguez, and his wife, Martha, Blanca Luzod, and her husband, Fred, Mario Rodriguez, and his wife, Joan, Dolores Sanchez, and her husband, Noel, and Joey Rodriguez, and his wife, Carol, all of San Jose, Rudy Rodriguez, and his wife, Linda, of Gilroy, Homer Rodriguez, and his wife, Gloria, of Modesto, Ceaser Rodriguez of Yuba City and Delia Sunseri, and her husband, Joe, of Temecula.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Gilbert and Oralia Rodriguez.
