John “Bob” McLeod, 92, a graduate of local schools and 55-year Tracy resident, died Monday, Jan. 20, at Astoria Gardens in Tracy. Graveside services will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, in Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road. Visitation will be observed from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. that same day at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave.

Gloria Noriega, 62, a former Lammersville School employee, died of mesothelioma Monday, Jan. 20, in Bellevue, Wash., where she had lived the past 4½ years. A memorial service will be planned in Washington for friends and family.

Virginia Gonzales Gamino, 82, of Tracy, died Monday, Jan. 20. Services are pending.

Joseph M. “Mike” Ransom, 63, a Tracy resident since 1996, died of complications of liver cancer Jan. 16 at his home. Park View Funeral Home, 3662 E. French Camp Road, in Manteca, is handling arrangements. Burial will be in Santa Clara Mission Cemetery, 490 Lincoln St., in Santa Clara. A memorial Mass and celebration of his life will be announced at a later date. Maria Monjes, 92, of Tracy, died Jan. 15 at New Hope Care Center. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 W. Eaton Ave. Burial will follow in Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road. Visitation will be observed from 1 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, followed immediately by recitation of a rosary, at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave. Contributions in Mrs. Monjes’ name may be sent to Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave., Stockton, CA 95204-1953 or www.hospicesj.org.

Aurora Armas Rodriguez, 87, a Tracy resident since 2012, died Jan. 15 after a long illness. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 W. Eaton Ave. Visitation will be observed from 9 to 9:30 that morning at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., followed by a rosary at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park, 32992 Mission Blvd., in Hayward. Lloyd White, 80, a retired propane salesman, died Jan. 14 at his Tracy home. Memorial services will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at the Tracy Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2025 Holly Drive. Inurnment with military honors will follow at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 W. McCabe Road, in Gustine. Verle Miller, 89, a Tracy resident for more than a half-century, died in Tracy Jan. 16 after a long illness. Services for Mrs. Miller are pending.
