By the end of the first half the Lady Bulldogs (13-3-1, 6-2 SJAA) were ahead, 10-1. Coach Joe Perry said his team didn’t take any more shots on the Bear Creek goal in the second half, but instead focused on maintaining possession and passing the ball through and around Bruin players.
“That’s what we have to work on to beat Lodi,” Perry said, referring to the last game of the league season next Thursday in Lodi, where Tracy, now tied with Lincoln for second place in the San Joaquin Athletic Association, gets one more chance to secure a playoff spot and a share of the league title.
Katelyn Golik and Alexis Poppoff each scored three goals for Tracy. Bria Outland, Dani Rodrigues, Lu Worthington and Marissa Matta also scored goals. Rodrigues made two assists and Chantel Genest had an assist.
