Tracy City Council needs to fill three volunteer positions on the Measure E Residents’ Oversight Committee. Members of the committee are not paid.

Measure E is a half-cent hike in local sales tax approved by voters in 2010. It expires in 2016.

The committee reviews the city’s revenues and expenses related to Measure E, checks a yearly audit of city sales tax and writes annual reports for the City Council.

Volunteers will serve a three-year term beginning March 2. The committee meets quarterly — at 5:30 p.m. the third Monday of January, April, July and October at City Hall — and special meetings may be scheduled.

The terms of committee members Arch Bakerink, Robert Tanner and George Riddle expire March 1.

Applicants must be Tracy residents and cannot be employees, officials, vendors or contractors of the city of Tracy.

Applications are available at the city clerk’s office at City Hall, 333 Civic Center Drive, or online at www.ci.tracy.ca.us. They must be returned to the city clerk by are due by 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27
