Some people are using food to encourage donations. The students, staff and families of Poet Christian School have written a dessert cookbook called “Sweet Treats for Sure.” Each book is $5 and on sale at Java Makers Bakery and Café, 835 S. Tracy High’s drama club will host a murder-mystery dinner theater called Final Cut from 6:30 to 8:30 Friday at the Emma Baumgardner Theatre, 315 E. 11th St. Tickets, which are $35, include salad, a main course and dessert.
