Tracy’s Relay For Life is approaching fast, but there are still ways you can help donate money for the event, which raises money for the American Cancer Society. The relay, a 24-hour walk, will be May 2 and 3 at Tracy High School.

Tresses Salon will offer special prices for hair extensions, with all proceeds going to the relay. Ask for Joann Guillen and the purple-and-pink extension special — one extension for $10, three for $25. The offer is only good until May 2. For information: 408-802-5175.

Some people are using food to encourage donations. The students, staff and families of Poet Christian School have written a dessert cookbook called “Sweet Treats for Sure.” Each book is $5 and on sale at Java Makers Bakery and Café, 835 S. Tracy High’s drama club will host a murder-mystery dinner theater called Final Cut from 6:30 to 8:30 Friday at the Emma Baumgardner Theatre, 315 E. 11th St. Tickets, which are $35, include salad, a main course and dessert.
