Mrs. Vierra was born Sept. 28, 1905, in San Jose and moved to Tracy with her family at age 10. She lived in Tracy until 1965, when she moved to Manteca. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Manteca.
Survivors include two daughters, Doris Kooyman of Lodi and Beatrice Luis, and her husband, Jack, of Manteca; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 39 years, Joseph F. Vierra, who died in 1962; parents, Joe and Anna Silva; three children, Gilbert Vierra, Silvia Rocha and Georgeann Vierra; three brothers; and three sisters.
The Mass on Thursday will begin at 11 a.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 W. Eaton Ave. Burial will follow in Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road. Visitation will be observed from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave., followed immediately by a vigil service.
