Kimball High students are wrapping up a week of travel-themed activities leading to the homecoming football game against Weston Ranch High on Friday, Oct. 11, at Don Nicholson Stadium.
"Kimball Worldwide" is the theme for the school’s second homecoming, with each grade taking on a region of the world.
The senior class is representing New York, juniors claimed the Tropics, sophomores took Europe and freshmen are wrangling the Wild West.
Spirit week activities got underway with students wearing pajamas to class for Airport Day on Monday, Oct. 7, dressing as tourists on Tuesday and donning mismatched outfits for Lost Luggage Day on Wednesday.
The senior girls outscored the juniors in the powder-puff football game Tuesday night at Don Nicholson Stadium, 22-18.
Students held a night rally Thursday, Oct. 10, at which the homecoming court was announced.
Seniors Isaiah Swendell and Gabrielle Giralmo were crowned homecoming king and queen.
Homecoming royalty also included junior class prince and princess Jacob Taloa and Nicole Hickmott; sophomore prince and princess Conner Hill and Mia Drake; and freshman prince and princess Nathan Perez and Kianna Caspillo.
Homecoming festivities climax on Friday, when the Kimball Jaguars host the Weston Ranch Cougars at 7:15 p.m. at Don Nicholson Stadium, 3200 Jaguar Run.
An outdoor dance in the school quad will follow the football game.
