The arrest occurred at 4:51 p.m. on the 1100 block of Johnson Court for an Aug. 16 armed robbery on the 700 block of Palm Circle.
In the previous incident, a man reported that his wallet and his girlfriend’s purse were stolen at gunpoint. Both men, ages 20 and 19, were booked into San Joaquin County Jail on robbery charges and were held on $150,000 bail pending a Friday, Sept. 13, court hearing in Manteca.
Tracy police received 1,255 calls for service from Thursday, Sept. 5, to Wednesday, Sept. 11. The following is a sampling of those calls.
Wednesday, Sept. 11
2:59 p.m.: A person at Chevron, 2615 W. Grant Line Road, reported that a man with a sign was protesting in front of the business and harassing customers. The man reportedly was unhappy about a recent oil change at the business. Police told him he could stand on the sidewalk but could not approach customers.
4:20 p.m.: A woman called police after a motorcycle rider reportedly punched out the side-view mirror of her car at Corral Hollow and Old Schulte roads. Police heard from the motorcycle rider about an hour later, and he told the police the woman nearly hit him with her car.
Tuesday, Sept. 10
2:32 a.m.: Police arrested a 47-year-old man for an outstanding warrant for inflicting corporal injury on the 300 block of West Larch Road.
9:31 a.m.: Police arrested a 28-year-old man for possession of stolen property at Tracy Press Park, 731 Weeping Willow Lane. He was booked into San Joaquin County Jail.
9:51 a.m.: A man told police his wife heard noises on their front porch on the 1300 block of Crossroads Drive, and in the morning, they found a half-eaten bag of potato chips, a fake identification and a bag of other items.
1:33 p.m.: A man on the 1000 block of Civic Center Drive told police he wired $1,300 to a caller who told him his grandson was in jail and needed money, but he found out later that the call was a scam. Police are investigating.
Monday, Sept. 9
12:09 p.m.: Police arrested a 29-year-old man for outstanding warrants on the 1500 block of Lincoln Boulevard. The warrants were for being drunk in public, burglary and trespassing. He was booked into county jail.
4:21 p.m.: A bank employee reported that a man called the Chase bank at 2620 S. Tracy Blvd. and asked how many male workers were at the bank. When the teller said none, the caller hung up. The bank employee said she thought the man was planning to rob the bank. Police ordered patrol checks.
5:54 p.m.: A 25-year-old woman was arrested after her mother called police from the 100 block of Collins Avenue and said the daughter broke her piano and hit her in the head with a glass ball. The 25-year-old was taken to county jail for unknown charges.
7:02 p.m.: Police arrested a 23-year-old man on the 200 block of Third Street for outstanding warrants for inflicting corporal injury and grand theft. He was booked into county jail.
9:11 p.m.: A 40-year-old man was arrested for suspected drunken driving following a traffic stop on the 100 block of West Valpico Road.
Sunday, Sept. 8
12:21 a.m.: A resident reported hearing a loud bang and saw water spraying from a hydrant at 11th Street and Crossroads Drive. He saw a vehicle bumper near the hydrant but no vehicle nearby. Tracy Fire Department shut off the water.
8:40 a.m.: Police arrested a man of unknown age for threats and battery against a spouse at Waterstone Apartments, 1951 Middlefield Drive. He was booked into county jail.
10:31 p.m.: Police arrested a 23-year-old man for suspected auto theft at Denny’s, 3718 N. Tracy Blvd.
Saturday, Sept. 7
12:19 a.m.: A truck struck a light pole at the intersection of Corral Hollow Road and Starflower Drive.
9:22 a.m.: During a pedestrian stop on the 500 block of West Mount Diablo Avenue, a 42-year-old man was arrested for alleged drug possession.
10:27 p.m.: A 53-year-old man on the 2600 block of North Tracy Boulevard was arrested for an outstanding warrant for driving with a suspended license, parole violation and having no vehicle registration.
11:09 p.m.: A 40-year-old man was arrested for alleged domestic violence on the 1900 block of Tahoe Circle.
Friday, Sept. 6
12:36 a.m.: A 55-year-old man was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence following a traffic stop near Butler Drive and Kavanagh Avenue.
4:29 a.m.: A resident reported that someone had run an extension cord from the resident’s front outlet into a former marijuana grow house on the 4200 block of Roxbury Drive. Code enforcement was notified.
12:24 p.m.: Someone broke into a community mailbox on the 1300 block of Montauban Street.
2:23 p.m.: Police arrested a 19-year-old woman for an outstanding warrant for vandalism and failure to appear in court. She was booked into county jail.
4:34 p.m.: A 26-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly trying to cash a fraudulent check at Bank of America, 3120 W. Grant Line Road. She also had an outstanding warrant for carrying a loaded gun magazine and aiding a felon.
Thursday, Sept. 5
10:45 a.m.: Officers talked to a man who was seen walking around a neighborhood and looking into windows on the 700 block of Quail Run Circle.
11:36 a.m.: A 30-year-old man was arrested for an outstanding warrant for possession of drugs following a pedestrian stop near Parker Avenue and Carlton Way. He was also given a new charge for the same crime.
2:55 p.m.: Police arrested a 48-year-old man for trying to cash a forged check at Bank of America, 3120 W. Grant Line Road.
4:33 p.m.: Someone allegedly stole a bag of old receipts and mail from a backyard on the 100 block of Yosemite Drive.
