At the Shelter

Huggy Bear, a 3-year-old neutered gray tabby, is at the Tracy Animal Shelter and needs a home. The staff is seeking donations of dry cat food, canned food for dogs and cats, dog toys, flea shampoo and puppy and kitten formula. The shelter, 370 Arbor Road, is open from noon to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. For information: 831-6364 or “City of Tracy Animal Services” on Facebook.

To the Rescue

Anastasia, a snowshoe siamese cat, is looking for a home. Described as affectionate and easily attached to her guardians, she is 2 or 3 years old and is comfortable with other cats and well-behaved dogs once she gets used to them. She prefers not to be picked up, so might not do well with young children. Animal Rescue of Tracy is a nonprofit, all-volunteer rescue group that has pet adoption fairs for dogs and cats from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays in the Macy’s wing of the West Valley Mall, 3200 Naglee Road. Members will also make arrangements to show animals in rescue during the week. For information: 642-4324 or www.animalrescuetracy.org.
