She died Aug. 24 in Tracy.
Born in Marysville on Dec. 15, 1913, she graduated from Marysville High School and was office manager of Yuba Sutter Disposal for 38 years before retiring.
In 1988, Mrs. Fasano received a proclamation from the Marysville City Council for her contributions to the disposal firm, her Catholic parish and the community. She received a key to the city on her 99th birthday.
Mrs. Fasano moved to Tracy in 2009 to be near her daughter.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Mersaroli, and her husband, Reggie, of Tracy; a granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vince Fasano, who died in 1976; parents, Cora and Martin Nealon; and seven siblings, Grace Nealon, James Nealon, Melba Lucas, William Nealon, Jessie Hafferty, Shirley Iribarren and Stanley Nealon.
Following the Friday Mass at St. Bernard’s Church, burial will be at 2:30 p.m. at Sierra Memorial Mausoleum, 4900 Olive Ave., in Marysville.
The family prefers donations to the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, 1520 Ralston Ave., Belmont, CA 94002.
