Theresa Gail Swanigan, 57, a longtime Tracy resident, died Sunday, Aug. 25, at her home. Arrangements will be handled by Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave. Services will be private, and burial will be in Tracy Cemetery, 501 W. Schulte Road. Contributions in Mrs. Swanigan’s name may be sent to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 3300 E. Sunrise Drive, Tucson, AZ 85718-3299.

John Anthony “Jack” Mooney, father of Annemaria Braten of Tracy, died Saturday, Aug. 24, at his home. He was 81. Visitation will be observed from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, followed immediately by a rosary, at Grissom's Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., in San Lorenzo. Burial of ashes will take place privately at a later date.

Otto William Bunch, 89, of Sonora, a former Tracy resident and retired Deuel Vocational Institution correctional officer, died of heart failure Friday, Aug. 23, in Jamestown. A Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 127 W. Jackson St., in Sonora. Viewing before the service will take place from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Thursday at Terzich & Wilson Funeral Home, 225 E. Rose St., in Sonora. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Patrick’s Parish, 11700 Catholic Cemetery Road, Sonora, CA 95370.

Virginia Winifred Connolly Lauppe, 94, a Tracy resident since 1947, died Aug. 22 at Astoria Gardens care center. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 9 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 W. Eaton Ave. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations in Mrs. Lauppe’s name to the St. Bernard’s New Church Building Fund, 165 W. Eaton Ave., Tracy, CA 95376; or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Tina Marie Anderson, 56, a Tracy native and Tracy High School graduate, died Aug. 17 at her home Pryor, Okla. No services are planned. Arrangements were handled by Key Funeral Home of Pryor.
