Keith Hooks, 43, had plead guilty Aug. 1 to one count of felony insurance fraud. Hooks' sentence could include a minimum of four years felony probation and $7,055 in restitution.
According to the release, the CDI opened an investigation in May 2012 based on a tip from the California State Automobile Association Insurance Group after Hooks made a claim for the theft of the cards.
