Tracy reservist earns promotion

Ubbo Coty, a resident of Tracy for more than 15 years, has been promoted to the rank of master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force Reserve effective Aug. 1.

Coty, who has served 25 years in the Air Force Reserve, is stationed at Travis Air Force Base and has been deployed five times since 9/11.
