A helicopter landed at El Pescadero Park, 301 W. Grant Line Road, to airlift a man who was injured elsewhere in the city on Tuesday, July 23.

Tracy Fire Department crews, along with Tracy Police Department officers, blocked off a section of the grass field next to the skate park to land the Reach Air Ambulance shortly after 3 p.m.

The Tracy Fire Department would not comment on the man's injuries but said, "The patient met criteria set forth by the San Joaquin County EMS Agency requiring that he be transported by an air ambulance."

An American Medical Response ambulance transported the injured man to the parking lot of the skate park, where he was transferred to the care of the helicopter crew.

Emergency crews are not allowed to say to which hospital the man was flown.

Literally the most pointless article ever. No name, nothing about what happened.... Did it even have anything to do with Tracy or did we just happen to be the closest point of pick up?

I wonder if this had anything to do with theactivity on 11th street this afternoon. There was a fire truck and ambulance at 11th and tracy blvd as well as 3-4 cop cars surrounding another carbin the pombo parking lot near Safeway. I think this was around 1:30p today. Hmmmm...
