Graveside services will be Friday, July 19, for Gertrude Marie Faria, 90, a lifelong Tracy resident, who died July 10 in Tracy.

Born April 26, 1923, in Patterson, Mrs. Faria graduated from Banta School and was a parishioner of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Marie Carol Costa, and her husband, Mike, of Tracy; a son, Manuel Thomas Faria III, and his wife, Bertha, of Los Banos; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Her husband of 56 years, Manuel Thomas Faria Jr., and her parents, Joseph and Amelia Maciel, preceded her in death.

Graveside services will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 McCabe Road, in Gustine, where Mrs. Faria will be buried alongside her husband.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Thursday, July 18, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 W. Eaton Ave. Arrangements were handled by Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., www.frymemorialchapel.com.
