Mr. Fulkerson was born May 30, 1926, in Belleview, Ill., and served during World War II in the 3rd U.S. Army 94th Infantry Division, fighting in France and Germany. After the war, he stayed in Nuremberg, Germany, as a guard during the war crime trials there.
He was later employed by Owens-Illinois Glass Co. and worked about 50 years in the glass container industry, moving to California in 1957.
A Tracy resident for 10 years, he was a member of the Sycamore Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Survivors include two sons, Steven Fulkerson, and his wife, June, of Tracy and Scott Fulkerson of Orange; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Joyce (Bushnell) Fulkerson; his parents, Claude G. Fulkerson and Lois Louise Jones; and a sister, Louise.
Saturday's services will begin at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 27150 Valpico Road. Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., is handling arrangements.
Burial will be in Eternal Valley Memorial Park, 23287 Sierra Highway, in Newhall, Los Angeles County.
