Services were conducted this week for Alicia R. Hartland, 88, of Tracy, who died June 12 at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson.

Mrs. Hartland was born Oct. 7, 1924, in Minneapolis, Minn., and had lived in Tracy the last 27 years. She worked 28 years as an accountant for Shell Oil Co., retiring in 1974.

A member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, she supported many local charities, volunteering 25 years at Tracy Interfaith Ministries and 20 years at New Hope Care Center.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Sernaque and Fredrick Hartland, both of Stockton; two sisters, Estela Cole of Los Altos and Gloria Salgado of Mexico City, Mexico; and many nephews and nieces and their families.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 32 years, Harland Hartland of Tracy, who died in 2003; and three siblings, Bertha Salgado, Hector Salgado and Carlos Salgado.

Burial was in Tracy Cemetery, 501 W. Schulte Road. Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave., handled arrangements.
