Gymnastics: Tracy takes top honors at meet

Tracy High’s varsity gymnasts took top honors in Santa Clara Valley Athletic League competition Friday, April 19, at Classic Gymnastics in Tracy.

Tracy finished with a team score of 169.000, beating Half Moon Bay (161.350).

Also competing were gymnasts from Kimball High, Christopher High of Gilroy and Gilroy High, which did not have full teams.

Tracy High freshman Alicia Woo received the highest all-around mark (37.850, which included a first-place score on the balance beam (9.800) and second on the vault (9.000), uneven bars (9.400) and floor exercise (9.650).

Kimball High junior Lauren Giles was second all-around (37.550), with first-place performances on the vault (9.200) and uneven bars (9.450).

Tracy High junior Elizabeth Higa placed third all-around (36.650).
