The Central Valley Association of Realtors Tracy Group used a dice game to raise nearly $1,500 for local charities Friday, April 12.

About 60 people attended the bunco fundraiser in the Target wing of the West Valley Mall, according to Janet Hohl of Keller-Williams Realty.

Raffle prizes — including several from new restaurant Buffalo Wild Wings — were part of the evening, Hohl said. Representatives from the American Cancer Society also raised about $100 for the annual Relay For Life walkathon by selling refreshments.

Hohl said the association will take applications from local charities this year and will “help whoever we can.”

In the past, the group has donated to D.A.R.E., Get Real Behind the Wheel, McHenry House Tracy Family Shelter, Tracy Interfaith Ministries and other charities. The local realtor group gave $7,500 to charities in 2012.

Those who dine at Rubio’s Fresh Mexican Grill, 2431 Naglee Road, Ste. 7a, on May 16 and mention the association will have a portion of their total donated toward the real estate group’s charitable arm.
