A resident living near the hall, 430 W. Ninth St., said the fight started around 9:20 p.m. during what she thought was a quinceañera.
Several of the people involved in the fight were believed to be intoxicated. The caller allegedly saw one person bleeding, and thought someone had a knife. Police issued a warning and shut down the party.
Tracy police received 520 calls for service Friday, March 8, to Sunday, March 10. The following is a sample of those reports.
12:56 a.m.: A 50-year-old man was arrested outside of Motel 6, 3810 N. Tracy Blvd., on unknown charges.
2:03 p.m.: Officers arrested a 40-year-old man for allegedly stealing a DVD player from Walmart, 3010 W. Grant Line Road. He was stopped several blocks away as he tried to get away on a bicycle.
7:47 a.m.: Police arrested a 37-year-old man during a traffic stop in the area of Bessie Avenue and Grant Line Road for an outstanding warrant.
9:35 a.m.: A 27-year-old man was cited for drunken driving in the area of Central Avenue and South Street. Officers initially arrested the man, though the log indicates he was cited for the charge and released to his mother.
7:40 p.m.: Officers arrested a 43-year-old man on the 200 block of East Clover Road for several outstanding warrants. The man was allegedly throwing items in a residence. He was arrested when the warrants were discovered.
1:58 a.m.: Officers arrested a 29-year-old woman who was allegedly trying to break the windows of her ex-girlfriend’s vehicle on the 300 block of South Court. The woman also had a warrant from the Stockton Police Department for a battery-related offense.
6:37 a.m.: A man was allegedly intoxicated when police found him lying in the parking lot of West High, 1775 W. Lowell Ave. The man was reportedly wearing a T-shirt and had shorts pulled down to his knees. Medical services responded to the scene.
1:07 p.m.: A teenager was allegedly seen picking up newspapers from in front of residences in the area of Hillcrest Drive and Orchard Parkway and putting them in a bag. He was reportedly seen riding away on a bicycle. The teen was gone when police arrived.
6:56 p.m.: Two teenagers allegedly tried to steal alcohol from Walmart, 3010 W. Grant Line Road. One teen was detained by a store employee while the second teen was seen running through the parking lot away from the store. The store declined to prosecute the teen because of his age, and he was released to the custody of a parent.
