They will take part in seminar sessions June 14 to 17 in Menlo Park under the sponsorship of the Tracy Woman’s Club.
The four girls received their sponsorships at a recent meeting of the Tracy Woman’s Club at the Tracy Elks Lodge.
Jennifer Pereira, of Millennium High School, has been active in gymnastics since she was in third grade. Her friends describe her as “weird, energetic, caring and helpful.”
Brianna Sandoval, of West High School, is involved in West High’s Space and Engineering Academy and is project manager of her Robotics Club team. She wants to be a biomedical engineer or surgeon. As part Native American, she wants to encourage other Native Americans to continue their education and apply to colleges.
Alessandra Rodriguez, of Tracy High School, is a student in the Agricultural-Scientific Academy. She also plays volleyball for Tracy High and competitive and travel teams. She serves as sophomore class president.
Lindsay Huckaba, of Kimball High School, is sophomore class vice president, a varsity cheerleader and an honor student. She is also involved in several student clubs at Kimball.
