The pursuit started at 4:45 p.m. on Sixth Street, where officers tried to stop the vehicle — described as a two-door black Ford Mustang — for unknown reasons.
The driver began traveling east on 11th Street before turning south on Tracy Boulevard, where speeds reached 70 mph near the intersection of Schulte Road, according to the log.
Speeds reached 80 mph near Whispering Wind Lane, just prior to the driver making a U-turn and traveling north in the southbound lanes of Tracy Boulevard.
According to the log, officers stopped their pursuit on Tracy Boulevard when speeds reached 90 mph with moderate traffic conditions.
Several trees were damaged in the area of Tracy Boulevard and Valpico Road, and another vehicle sustained minor damage when it crashed as a result of the chase. No injuries were reported.
Tracy police received 145 calls for service Wednesday, March 6. The following is a sample of those reports.
9:03 a.m.: Officers arrested a 28-year-old man in a room at the Royal Motel, 1201 W. 11th St., for unknown reasons.
10:53 a.m.: A student at Monte Vista Middle School, 751 W. Lowell Ave., was cited and released for possession of marijuana. The student was released to the custody of a parent.
