Millennium High School will celebrate its first homecoming with a parade, a dance and a week of rallies beginning Nov. 3.

"This is momentous," said Millennium High learning director DyAnne Fry. "It’s going to fun and spirited."

Tracy Learning Center’s other two schools on the Beverly Place campus will also join the celebration. Primary and Discovery Charter will make floats of their own and be in the Saturday afternoon parade planned through the streets of downtown Tracy.

The week’s celebrations consist of five themed days, when students, teachers and other employees will dress up, play games and attend rallies. Monday will be sports team day; Tuesday, 1980s day; Wednesday, "crossover day;" Thursday, pajama day; and Friday, black-and-gold day.

On Wednesday night, the boys will cheer on the girls during their Powder Puff football game. Homecoming royalty will be crowned that night, too.

The main homecoming rally will take place Thursday night. The casual homecoming dance goes from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday in the school gym, where students are encouraged to wear jeans and a "Falcon Pride" class T-shirt. Admission costs $6, and alumni should let organizers know in advance that they plan to show up.

On Saturday, Nov. 8, students will put their finishing touches on their parade floats before the actual parade at 2:30 that afternoon.

The homecoming football game against Big Valley Christian of Modesto will take place at 7 p.m. at the Steve Lopez Field at West High School, 1775 W. Lowell Ave.
