Worst Congress in history

The Democrats have taken America in the wrong direction, making this Democrat-controlled Congress the worst Congress in American history, with an approval rating flooring at 9 percent.

Nancy Pelosi, D-San Francisco, was selected by the Democrats as speaker of the House as she pushed her ultra-liberal San Francisco values against the national values of most Americans.

She appointed congressmen who took bribe money, disparaged judges and tax evaders and escalated them into top-ranking positions in Congress. Pelosi herself also demands that she have her own plane to fly around the nation at a cost to taxpayers of $300,000 per round trip from Washington, D.C., to San Francisco.

The Democrats accused Gen. David Petreus of lying when the surge worked in Iraq, as many Democrats, including Rep. Jerry McNerney, voted against supplying our military with the equipment and supplies needed to win.

The Democrats’ policies have granted constitutional rights to suspected terrorist at Guantanamo Bay. The Democrats also crippled our surveillance intelligence by weakening the Patriot Act.

A war the Democrats don’t mind battling is a fight against Christianity. Democrats have fought against silent prayer in school, the displaying of the Ten Commandments and the Pledge of Allegiance Protection Act, which protects the phrase “one nation under God.”

In 2006, the national average for gasoline was $2.18 per gallon. However, since the Democrats took control of Congress in January 2007, gasoline prices have skyrocketed.

Democrats should be concerned about fixing Social Security, but Barack Obama has proposed $1 trillion in new spending.

We need to return our government to its founding principles of limited government, individual freedom, less taxation, a strong national defense and a belief in an opportunity to pursue happiness through capitalism.
