Black history celebration

Agape Baptist Church will celebrate its annual Black History program at 3 p.m. Sunday at 238 W. Grant Line Road. The church’s young people will present poems and music. During the program, the church will honor its 2008 Mother of the Year, Mary Cotton.

Faith conference The Diocese of Stockton’s annual Adult Faith Formation Ministry Conference will run from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. March 8 at St. Mary’s High School, 5648 El Dorado St., in Stockton.

There will be two keynote speakers and 81 activities to choose from.

Cost is $30 through today and $35 after.

Bible studies and prayer The People of Christ Missionary Baptist Church hosts Bible studies and prayer meetings at 9 a.m. Wednesday at 1655 Parker Ave. Evening groups meet at 5 p.m. the second and fourth Sundays of each month.
