The Tracy High wrestling team did all it needed to do this week to earn a shot at a third-straight San Joaquin Athletic Association title, wrapping up the year at 4-1 in league with back-to-back wins over previously-unbeaten Chavez and league doormat Franklin in Stockton.

On Friday, the Bulldogs found out that the Lincoln Trojans also did what they needed to do.

Tracy earned its third-straight crown, the longest streak since the program's glory days almost two decades ago, when the Bulldogs found that Lincoln, which handed the 'Dogs a shock defeat in the season's first match a month ago, lost its season-ending match to Lodi on Thursday.

The Flames (3-2 SJAA) edged the Trojans (3-2 SJAA), 39-30, in Stockton.

The Bulldogs will take five wrestlers to the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Team Duals Meet on Saturday in Sacramento. The SJAA Individual Tournament is the Feb. 9 at Lincoln High.
