Tracy police logged 221 calls on Thursday, including the

following reports.



4:48 a.m.: Someone stole rims and tires off a man’s car at a

business on the 1400 block of McDermott Drive.



7:44 a.m.: Two homeless men were seen camping out in the

backyard of a vacant home on the 2900 block of Lincoln Boulevard.



7:46 a.m.: Someone stole wheels and tires from a car on the

2100 block of Jenni Lane.



8:43 p.m.: A caller gave out personal bank information to a

telephone scammer and lost $385.22 at the Village Garden Apartments, 650 East

St.



10:05 a.m.: A caller on the 2100 block of Biscay Court

reported someone using the caller’s Social Security card.



10:29 a.m.: A student with a knife and baggies of marijuana

was arrested and released after being given a citation at a community school at

1501 W. 11th St.



11:26 p.m.: Police responded to a report that someone was

drunk in public at North School, 2875 Holly Drive.



11:41 a.m.: A kid was taken into custody for shoplifting at

Rite Aid, 1970 W. Grant Line Road.



11:54 a.m.: Someone stole a tailgate off a pickup at the

World Gym Fitness Center, 2340 East St.



12:52 a.m.: A security guard wrestled a man to the ground

who tried to steal alcohol at Rite Aid, 1970 W. Grant Line Road. Police

arrested the suspect.



1:08 p.m.: Someone walked into the lobby of the police

station to report a case of ATM card fraud at Costco, 3250 W. Grant Line Road.



1:12 p.m. A caller reported that someone stole money from

the caller’s checking account after the use of an ATM card at Costco, 3250 W.

Grant Line Road.



3:04 p.m.: Police responded to a report of a battery at West

High School, 1775 W. Lowell Ave.



3:09 p.m.: A man with his pants down in some bushes was

“touching himself” near railroads tracks at Lauriana Lane and Schulte Road.



3:17 p.m.: Someone broke into a woman’s car at the West

Valley Mall, 3200 Naglee Road.

3:22 p.m.: Police arrested a man for shoplifting at JCPenny, 3100 Naglee Road.



4:56 p.m.: Two men left behind a crow bar and a knife after

they smashed windows of two cars and ran away from Tracy Dodge, 3380 Naglee

Road.



5:25 p.m.: A woman dropped $80 worth of meat, her bicycle

and her purse and took off after she was caught trying to steal at Safeway,

1801 W. 11th St.



5:28 p.m.: Someone broke into a woman’s car at the West

Valley Mall, 3200 Naglee Road.



6:24 p.m.: A caller reported credit card fraud at Costco,

3250 W. Grant Line Road.



6:35 p.m.: Someone stole a purse from a woman’s Chevy

Suburban on the 400 block of Helen Drive.



8:37 p.m.: A man said he got of choir practice and

discovered someone broke the rear window of his car at the Tracy Community

Church, 1790 Sequoia Blvd.



8:55 p.m.: Someone broke a window and stole a woman’s purse

while she picked up her niece at the Tracy Adult School, 1902 N. Corral Hollow

Road.



9:50 p.m.: A man reported that a group of men who had

previously stolen money from him pulled up in a car while he was at Quik Mart,

651 W. Grant Line Road, started an argument and pulled a gun and threatened to

kill him. Police said reported being familiar with the car the suspects drove

and went to contact them.
