A black man and a white man reportedly fought each other in the backyard of a home on the 1000 block of Darby Drive at 5:23 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28. The two allegedly broke through a backyard fence from a nearby walking path. Before he left in a car, the white man — who allegedly had a baseball bat — reportedly told the caller’s husband that the black man had a gun, though the caller didn’t see the weapon. Officers were told that the driver of a car possibly involved in the incident had a gun. Police located a car that matched the vehicle’s description and arrested a 19-year-old man for allegedly possessing marijuana. Tracy police received 157 calls for service Thursday, Feb. 28. The following is a sample of those reports. 12:19 a.m.: A 19-year-old man was arrested at the West Valley Mall, 3200 Naglee Road, for allegedly driving under the influence. Blood was drawn at the scene, and a tow truck was called. 5:33 a.m.: Police forced their way inside a house in central Tracy after a husband reported that his wife, who was allegedly intoxicated and holding a hammer, threatened to hit him. The woman was arrested. 3:07 p.m.: A 58-year-old man was arrested at the Royal Motel, 1201 W. 11th St., on warrants for burglary and arson. 4:39 p.m.: A man dropped a gun after walking through El Pescadero Park near Kavanagh Avenue. Several police responded and found a gun on Kavanagh, according to the police log. A 22-year-old man was arrested. 9:50 p.m.: Officers arrested a 30-year-old man on Reyes and Travao lanes on an outstanding San Joaquin County warrant. • This column includes a sample of items as reported in the Tracy Police Department dispatcher’s daily log. Additional information is based on reports from officers and other law enforcement agencies. All those arrested are assumed innocent until proven guilty, and charges may have been dropped or added as of publication. To report information anonymously about a crime: Crime Stoppers, 831-6847.

Anyone know what happened on Valpico at Hidden Lake this morning? I heard it was a fatality? :(

Hidden Lake is a nice side of the pond. I can't imagine anything violent happening over there. Maybe some teens vandalizing or being high on weed or drunk, but a fatality?
