EDITOR,

In regards to a statement made about Christmas in a recent Tracy Press article: “It can be difficult when children see Christmas advertised everywhere,” I must be living in a different town.

You won’t find the word “Christmas” in any city of Tracy doings. What did the city just have? A holiday tree lighting. What is a holiday tree?

How about the downtown Tracy merchants’ parade? It was called a holiday parade.

Local service club event? It is sponsoring a holiday decorating contest.

In Tracy schools? The word “Christmas” isn’t bouncing off the walls. In the politically correct Tracy Press, you are lucky to see the word “Christmas” mentioned.

I do know one place where it is mentioned — the calendar. The 25th of December is a national holiday, called Christmas.

Merry Christmas, everyone.
