Someone reported at 3:30 p.m. that a brown and white pit
bull chased kids at Hoyt Park at Third Street and Dale O’Dell Drive.
At 5:22 p.m., someone else reported the pit was bleeding
after a man, a woman and several kids kicked it. Later, a caller told police
the caller’s son kicked the pit bull to defend his own dog.
Police said the pit bull was “bleeding heavily.”
The Tracy Police Department logged 117 calls on Thursday,
including the following reports:
1:17 a.m.: Two men were trying to get into the passenger
side of a man’s tow truck on the 500 block of West fourth Street, but they were
gone by the time police arrived.
6:36 a.m.: A man and woman tried to pry open three
mailboxes, at Kavanagh Avenue and Lincoln Boulevard.
8:38 a.m.: A woman reported the theft of a computer and
suspects neighbors stole it on the 1100 block of Vallerand Road.
11:30 a.m.: A woman on South West Street reported her
husband was “acting crazy” and the couple fought because the man was angry that
she “wouldn’t finish making the turkey,” The man went to lie down in the
bedroom while the woman waited outside for police, who reported it was only a
verbal argument.
11:41 a.m.: Someone left a threatening message on the
caller’s answering machine on the 400 block of Hollywood Avenue.
12:19 p.m.: A woman in central Tracy reported that the
father of her child keeps calling and threatening to kill her.
2:10 p.m.: Someone stole a stereo from a man’s Ford F150 on
the 1900 block of Clearbrook Court.
2:48 p.m.: A man said his girlfriend whacked him over the
head with a curling iron on the 900 block of Peerless Court, and police found
the man bleeding from a cut above the eye.
7:42 p.m.: A woman reported her brother and her husband got
in a fight on the 2500 block of Choisser Court, and that the brother had the
husband in a headlock and the family was trying to pry them apart.
9:45 p.m.: Four “nicely dressed” men were walking around
with spray paint cans in the hands near Douglas and Eastlake drives.
10:08 p.m.: Two men on bicycles were seen looking into cars
with flashlights on the 400 block of Charlemagne Lane.
10:33 p.m.: Police went to the Shamrock bar, 117 W. 11th
St., to respond to a report of “mutual combat between friends.”
