EDITOR,

“The Golden Compass” is a movie that is scheduled to start showing in America on Dec. 7. I urge you to recommend to your readership to boycott this movie.

It is based on a book written by Philip Pullman, a dyed-in-the-wool, card-carrying atheist.

The story line has been dumbed down to appeal to children like the Disney movies, except in this movie, in the end the children kill God. You can check out this information by going online to Snopes.com, write in the title name and read what it says. It will curl your hair.

Every church group in America should recommend its members boycott this movie or, if possible, get it banned from their community theaters.

People like this author have already gotten nondenominational prayer banned from our schools, they are attempting to get “under God” removed from the Pledge of Allegiance and they are trying to get “In God, we trust” removed from our currency.

Wake up, America, and stand up and be counted.

This is supposed to be a country where our government is of the people, for the people and by the people. Majority rules.

It is time we citizens take back our country and show minorities and illegal immigrants who’s boss.
