The Tracy High freshman football team recorded a 28-0 shutout win over Stockton's Franklin High Thursday at Peter B. Kyne Field.

Brock Soares and Dominique Harrison opened things up with 2-yard and 6-yard touchdowns, respectively. Harrison added a 35-yard scoring run in the third quarter, and Mario Arnaudo completed a 44-yard pass to Harrison in the fourth for the final margin of victory.

Arnaudo was 4-for-5 passing with 78 yards, and ran for 61 yards. Harrison finished with 78 yards on the ground, and Soares added 65. Devon Hartenstein ran for 22 yards, and Matt Patterson added 10. Ant Pak was a perfect 4-for-4 on point after tries. Zach Escobar caught two passes.

Darcy Faiaipua recovered a fumble, and Jesse Miller recorded three sacks, eight tackles and forced a fumble. Oscar Gerstenberger had one sack and six tackles and a fumble recovery, and Chris Petro broke up two passes.

Tracy coach Jay Fishburn paid special heed to his offensive line, Sam Brown, Patrick Alegre, Aaron Walker, Mike Chavalas and Tyler Huckaby.

The Bullpuppies (3-0 San Joaquin Athletic Association) are guaranteed at least a share of the freshman title if they can defeat Lodi next week.
