Some new rules are in order for the town’s biggest football game of the year — Tracy vs. West — at Tracy High’s Peter B. Kyne Field.

First of all, the crowd will be limited to 4,829 people, and fans won’t be allowed to loiter on the track or around the field — so says the city’s fire inspector.

Second, those who arrive by car will find some new places to park.

"It might be a little bit of a walk," said Tracy High Assistant Principal Joni McGinnis. "I call this the under-construction year, with the work going on around here."

Parking in the old West Building lot is closed, with the construction at 11th and East streets. As an alternative, three places will open to accommodate 300 cars:

n On campus behind the Agriculture Building.

n Across the street from the high school in the City Hall parking lot.

n East of the school at the former H.J. Heinz Co. parking lot.

All three locations will offer extra lighting and security guards.

For information: McGinnis, 830-3360 ext. 2014.
