Boxer to visit Tracy today

Sen. Barbara Boxer will be in Tracy today to hand out awards to San Joaquin Sheriff Department Seniors Team Active Retired Seniors and Tracy Police Department volunteers.

Boxer will meet San Joaquin County Sheriff Steve Moore and Tracy police Chief David Krauss at 10:45 a.m. in the Tracy police building at 1000 Civic Center Drive and will hand out the awards at 11.

Spokeswoman Natalie Ravitz said the senator is touring the state to keep in touch with local communities. Her next stop is in Modesto at noon.
