EDITOR,

I thought that when somebody commits a crime, there should be consequences. So why is Mike Ucci a hero?

What happened to those kids in that high-speed car crash is a tragedy. But people want them to be memorialized for something that happened when laws were broken. If another group of kids that was not as popular got in an accident like they did, would they receive the same attention and support?

My heart goes out to the Ucci family, yet the fact remains that speed limits are posted for a reason and failure to comply with these laws can result in fatality.
