Investigators reported early Monday afternoon that someone at the Madruga Iron Works, 305 Gandy Dancer Drive, had an empty 155mm Howitzer shell. A witness said that crews from Travis Air Force Base removed it.

Officer Tim Laberdee helps string crime-scene tape along the roadway at Gandy Dancer Drive as the bomb threat was investigated.

Workers drive out of the business complex during Monday's investigation.
