The Bush administration has shown a disregard for our constitutional guarantees of a system of checks and balances by ignoring Congress and deciding it doesn’t have to respect habeas corpus.
Plunging us into an unwinnable war with unpardonable costs using a justification based on falsehoods and holding prisoners indefinitely without charges is not what our founding fathers had in mind.
