Don’t change market days

EDITOR,

As a faithful shopper, I think the farmers market should remain on a weekday, not Saturday, in downtown Tracy. My weekends are too busy to go to the market. On weekdays, I plan my errands downtown, shop for fresh vegetables and fruits and have dinner there.

The market needs to keep the same manager or organizer because he keeps the market “ours” by having local farmers and vendors. We know them and they know us — it’s enjoyable.

You know what happened when the Tracy Dry Bean Festival hired a “professional” from the Bay Area He didn’t know beans! The professional will change the farmers market.

J. Smith, Tracy
