In your Jan. 25 editorial, “Iran may force U.S. move on war chessboard,” you are correct in your assessment that we may “have no choice” about war with Iran.
You failed to note that the takeover of our diplomatic mission in Iran in 1979 was an act of war. Diplomatic missions are recognized as sovereign U.S. territory, and the violation of them is an act of war. That sovereign territory of the United States remains in Iran’s hands today.
